Abstract

Management Information Systems (MIS) which helps organizations run their operations more effectively and make better decisions while achieving sustainable business results. The study collected data through a cross-sectional quantitative survey which included 275 American workers from different job positions across multiple U.S. industries. The questionnaire assessed seven essential MIS components which included Data Decisions and AI Integration and MIS Effectiveness and Operational Efficiency and Sustainable Performance and Process Automation and Managerial Control. Five-point Likert scale was used to document the responses. The study used SPSS Version 25 to perform descriptive statistics and regression analyses which revealed how AI adoption affects operational and strategic performance through predictive relationships and outcome evaluation and perception assessment. Findings indicated that Data Decisions (17%), AI Integration (16%), and Sustainable Performance (16%) were the most emphasized MIS dimensions. Operational Efficiency (15%) and MIS Effectiveness (14%) were also highly rated. The results from the regression analysis indicate that AI adoption generates positive effects on Sustainable Performance at p = 0.041 and Operational Efficiency at p = 0.053 but Process Automation at p = 0.135 and Managerial Control at p = 0.136 produce less pronounced results. MIS significantly enhances operational efficiency and sustainable performance in U.S. organizations. Executing technology systems appearances several obstacles but positive integration countenances organizations to use data for decision making.
