Abstract

This study evaluates the potential of agrotourism in Samarkand as a means to diversify the tourism sector and improve the economic conditions of rural areas. Despite the rich agricultural heritage and cultural significance of the region, agrotourism remains underdeveloped. The research aims to assess the current landscape and growth potential for attracting international tourists. Employing a mixed-methods approach, the study analyzes statistical data, conducts surveys of foreign tourists and local residents, and interviews experts in the tourism sector. The findings reveal key tourist preferences and highlight challenges facing agrotourism development. Strategic recommendations are proposed to enhance agrotourism offerings, ultimately fostering sustainable economic growth in the region.
