Issues in Developing an Integrated Cluster Model in Uzbekistan’s Silk Industry

This article analyzes the multi-stage value chain of Uzbekistan’s silk industry and highlights the role of a clustered and integrated model in enhancing its economic efficiency. Based on the analysis of scientific literature and international experience, the study reveals the impact of cluster systems on resource allocation, competitive environment, and innovation processes. The research findings suggest that the implementation of a multi-level cluster system can help retain value added within the country, formalize the labor market, ensure the integration of education and research, and strengthen environmental sustainability. Furthermore, the paper recommends the use of digital technologies (IoT, ERP, blockchain) to improve production efficiency and expand export potential in line with international standards.
