The Use of Bibliometric Analysis in Research of Tourism and Recreational Potential Assessment

From the perspective of socio-economic research, evaluating a destination's tourism and recreational potential is widely regarded as one of the most crucial tasks that can have a significant impact on the amount of demand for tourism and an increase in the region's attractiveness to investors. A bibliometric analytical approach based on Scopus databases was utilized to explore the most favored journals, prominent authors, highly cited papers, leading countries, and primary subject areas. The articles on tourism potential published between 1969 and 2023 were examined in this article. Thus, its objectives are to gather more information about the potential of tourism and to educate academics about the field's organization.
