Abstract

The aim of the study was to present an author’s approach to digital morphometry of histological images in experimental morphology. Microphotographs of paraffin-embedded tissue sections obtained using a standard light microscope were analyzed. A specialized software system was applied for semi-automatic tissue segmentation, cell counting, and measurement of morphometric parameters. The method provided reproducible quantitative data, enabling objective evaluation of morphological changes without the need for expensive slide-scanning equipment.
