Abstract
The rapid diffusion of artificial intelligence (AI) technologies is fundamentally transforming the global labor market and redefining the role of human capital in modern economies. AI-driven automation, machine learning, and data analytics are reshaping production processes, organizational structures, and employment patterns, exerting a significant influence on labor demand, productivity growth, and income distribution. While artificial intelligence enhances operational efficiency and enables the creation of new occupations, it simultaneously intensifies the risk of job displacement, particularly for workers engaged in routine and low-skilled tasks. This study examines the structural transformation of the labor market under the influence of artificial intelligence and analyzes the emerging qualitative requirements imposed on human capital. Special attention is paid to the evolution of skills demand, the changing risk profile of professions, and the growing importance of cognitive, digital, and socio-emotional competencies. Based on a comprehensive review of international and local scholarly literature, the article identifies both the opportunities and challenges associated with AI-driven labor market transformation. The findings suggest that while artificial intelligence can exacerbate skill polarization and income inequality, its negative effects can be mitigated through effective public policies, targeted reskilling programs, and institutional support mechanisms. The study concludes that sustainable labor market development in the era of artificial intelligence depends on the continuous enhancement of human capital and the strategic alignment of education, labor market policies, and technological innovation.
