Abstract

The article is devoted to the study of the image of the heroic feast and bragging in Russian epics. The author analyzes these structural elements in detail and focuses on the rules of behavior at the feast. The author concludes that feasting and bragging play an important role in the plot of the epic and have a didactic character.
