Abstrak
This article x-rays the correlation-ship between Generation of Rights identified by famous human rights theorists and the Fundamental Human Rights provisions in The 1999 Constitution of the Federal Republic of Nigeria. The aim and objective is to ascertain the extent to which the Generation of human Rights influenced the Fundamental Human Rights provisions in The 1999 Constitution of the Federal Republic of Nigeria. A priori expectation is that a positive and significant relationship exists between the Generation of Rights and the Fundamental Human Rights provisions in The 1999 Constitution of the Federal Republic of Nigeria. The research reveals that, in fact, the human rights provisions were domesticated from the first generation of rights as categorized by Vasak.
