Abstract
By nature, people are selfish to a certain degree. Selfishness is lacking consideration for others; concerned chiefly with one’s own personal profit or pleasure. It is an innate quality that can help people survive and thrive. Selfish people are usually uncompromising and have a very clear idea of what they want and how everyone needs to behave so that they can get it. Their self-centered behavior can strain relationships, erode trust, and lead to emotional turmoil. This paper introduces the reader to the manifestations of selfishness.
