Abstract
Since the beginning of the first decade of the new millennium, Turkey has sought to adopt a foreign policy characterized by independence and effectiveness in Middle Eastern affairs, particularly the Palestinian issue. Between 2006 and 2011, Ankara adopted strategic positions that supported Palestinian rights and demonstrated a firm commitment to their cause. that on several axes, most notably relief and humanitarian support for the Gaza Strip, and strengthening cooperation with Palestinian factions, In addition to Its support for the Palestinian reconciliation between Fatah and Hamas. Turkey also played a prominent diplomatic role by voting in favor of granting Palestine non- member state status at the United Nations in 2011, strengthening its position as a major supporter of the Palestinian cause on the international stage.
Turkey's stance has evolved to be characterized by its ability to balance its strategic relations with the United States and Israel on the one hand, and its continued support for Palestine on the other. Despite the tensions that arose after the Mavi Marmara incident in 2010, and Turkey's rejection of Israeli policies in Gaza, Ankara has continued to strengthen its regional and international position as a primary supporter of Palestinian rights, expressing its rejection of any foreign interference in its national affairs and its policy of support for Palestine.
