Abstract
Local government institutions play a fundamental role in democratic systems by empowering citizens to actively participate in decision-making that impacts their daily lives, enhancing transparency and accountability. These institutions are responsible for managing public services and developing local areas, contributing to sustainable development and improving the quality of services provided to citizens. However, these institutions face numerous challenges, such as a lack of human expertise, a shortage of available resources, and weak coordination between local and central governments. Therefore, this research will address ways to strengthen the institutional capacities of local government institutions, focusing on ways to improve the performance of these institutions, including enhancing the capacity and efficiency of workers, enhancing cooperation with the private sector and civil government, and utilizing modern technology. The research aims to provide practical solutions to these challenges in order to improve the performance of these institutions and enhance their ability to meet the needs of local communities more effectively.
