Abstrak
This research deals with the concept of custom in Maliki jurisprudence and explains its role and importance in determining Islamic rulings. It addresses the definition of customs and how it is used as a source of legislation in the Maliki school, with an in-depth analysis of the evidence and texts that support this role. The section also provides practical examples of how custom is applied in Maliki jurisprudence, and how the levels of custom affect the determination of legal rulings in the Maliki school of thought. In the second section, the researcher discussed the reasons for adopting the practice. The origin of the work of the people of Medina and the evidence of its validity from the hadiths, reviewing the opinion of those who supported this source, and the point of view of those who took a position of rejection and denial of this work.
