Abstrak
The article provides a scientific analysis of the history of the institute of criminal procedural relations and the stages of its development. It also discusses the legal foundations and practical advantages of using modern information technologies, in particular, video communication systems, in criminal proceedings. The author puts forward proposals to expand the possibilities of conducting investigative processes remotely by introducing amendments and additions to certain articles of the Criminal Procedure Code. The results of the study show that the introduction of video communication technologies will serve to conduct criminal cases more quickly, transparently and effectively, strengthen guarantees for the protection of human rights, and digitize judicial and legal reforms.
