Abstract
Foreign investment has become a central driver of Uzbekistan’s economic modernization, structural transformation, and integration into the global economy. This article examines the role of foreign investment using theoretical foundations, legal analysis, and updated empirical data, including an expanded Table 1 (2009–2024). Visual elements such as tables and figures help illustrate how foreign investment dynamics have evolved over time. The findings show a sharp rise in foreign investment participation, culminating in foreign capital financing nearly 70% of national fixed-asset formation in 2024. Foreign direct investment (FDI) plays an increasingly significant role, though risks remain tied to contractual, operational, and macroeconomic factors.
