Abstract
The article provides an in-depth analysis of modern trends in the formation of employment in the service sector based on the experience of developed countries. A comparative study of the economic models of the USA, the European Union, Japan, South Korea and Singapore shows that the growth of employment in the global service sector is closely related to digital transformation, the expansion of the gig economy, a flexible labor market, the growth of the highly skilled services segment, and investments in human capital. During 2020–2024, the share of employment in the service sector in these countries has been steadily increasing, strengthening the process of servitization of the economy. The article provides a scientifically based analysis of the service sector model of each country, its structural features, and factors affecting employment patterns. For Uzbekistan, these experiences serve as an important methodological basis for diversifying employment in the service sector, expanding digital services, developing a service culture, and forming a services market based on highly skilled personnel.
