Abstract
This article analyzes the necessity of ensuring ecological sustainability and implementing green economy principles at the regional level from both scientific-theoretical and practical perspectives. The study addresses issues related to the rational use of natural resources, reduction of ecological risks, and alignment of economic growth with ecological sustainability in regional development processes. Additionally, the mechanisms for transitioning to a green economy, ways to enhance ecological efficiency, and factors influencing sustainable development are examined. The results of the article serve to inform the improvement of regional development strategies and the formulation of scientific-practical recommendations to ensure ecological sustainability.
