Abstract

This article comprehensively analyzes the role and importance of the industrial sector in the sustainable development of the regional economy. In modern economic conditions, the industrial sector is the main driver of economic growth and has a significant impact on the socio-economic development of regions. The study extensively covers the share of industrial production in regional GDP, its role in increasing employment, its role in stimulating innovative activity, and its contribution to the development of infrastructure. The article pays special attention to the issues of environmental safety, rational use of resources, and the introduction of the principles of the "green economy" within the framework of the concept of sustainable industrial development. It also analyzes ways to minimize the negative impact on the environment by modernizing production processes, increasing energy efficiency, and reducing waste. The possibilities of ensuring economic diversification, creating new jobs, and improving the living standards of the population through industrial development in the regions are substantiated. The study used methods of economic and statistical analysis, comparative analysis, and a systematic approach. The results show that the effective development of the industrial sector not only ensures economic stability, but is also an important factor in increasing social well-being and maintaining ecological balance. At the same time, the need to improve regional industrial policy, attract investments, support small and medium-sized businesses, and widely introduce innovative technologies is emphasized.
