Abstract

The article examines the literary and philosophical teaching of Molla Nasreddinism, which is a synthesis of nationality and universality, which emerged around the magazine “Molla Nasreddin” published at the beginning of the 20th century, and the irreplaceable role that the ideas of this innovative teaching played in the formation of national consciousness and the modernization of society in Azerbaijan, the Caucasus, including Nakhchivan, from a socio-philosophical perspective. The author analyzed and evaluated the widespread popularity of the national-democratic ideas of Molla Nasreddinists, values consisting of the unity of tradition and innovation, and new, transformative concepts of society, state, and personality based on philosophical generalizations.
