Abstract
In this article, the issue of developing the speech abilities of primary school students through the use of phonetic games in Russian language lessons is analyzed from a scientific and pedagogical point of view. The study reveals the didactic possibilities of phonetic games in the formation of students' pronunciation culture, phonemic hearing, oral speech activity, and communicative competence. In the process of empirical research, the effectiveness of phonetic games was determined based on the results of experimental work with primary school students.
