Abstract

This article provides a comparative analysis of the theories of development of real sectors of the regional economy. The author systematizes the main theoretical approaches to the structural improvement of real sector sectors on the basis of four blocks. In this case, the concepts of diversification, modernization, clustering and institution-investment integration are placed in a logical sequence, which are reflected in their cause-and-effect relationship. The scientific significance of the model is that it presents existing theories as an integrated system and creates a methodological basis for the formation of regional economic policy. Based on the results of the research, a methodological system was developed to improve the structural structure of real economy sectors in the context of regional economic development.
