Financing Scientific Research in Uzbekistan and Developed Countries: Similarities and Differences

This article provides a review of the financing system of scientific research in Uzbekistan and developed countries. More specifically, it considers the role and importance of state budget allocation, grants, involvement of the private sector and international funding sources. State policies (to support science) and grant mechanisms are identified as critical similarity drivers between both systems in the study.
