Linguocultural Analysis of the Concept “Bride/Daughter-in-Law” in Uzbek Proverbs

This article examines the concept of “bride/daughter-in-law” from a linguocultural perspective based on Uzbek folk proverbs, which constitute an important layer of oral folklore. The study identifies social, moral, gender, and cultural stereotypes associated with the image of the daughter-in-law. The proverbs are analyzed from semantic, pragmatic, and conceptual perspectives, allowing for the elucidation of the system of values reflected in them. The results demonstrate that the image of the daughter-in-law in Uzbek society is complex and multi-layered.
