Abstract

This study examined the role of effective educational planning in managing the shocks of the Middle East crisis on educational management in Nigeria. The study is premised on the understanding that geopolitical tensions in the Middle East contribute to global oil price volatility, inflation, and economic instability, which indirectly affect education financing and administration in Nigeria. A qualitative review research design was adopted, relying on secondary sources such as peer-reviewed journals, policy documents, and reports from international organizations on education and economic development. The review revealed that the Middle East crisis impacts Nigerian education management through reduced government revenue, rising cost of school operations, declining household income, and increased inequality in access to education. Findings further show that effective educational planning is critical in mitigating these shocks through strategic budgeting, resource prioritization, policy continuity, and crisis-responsive education reforms. The study concludes that strengthening educational planning systems is essential for sustaining education delivery in Nigeria during periods of global instability.
