Abstract

This article presents a comparative legal analysis of the Vienna and Paris Conventions on civil liability for nuclear damage. It examines key principles of the international legal regime: strict liability, exclusive jurisdiction, centralized operator liability, and compensation mechanisms. Differences in the scope of compensable damage and financial security requirements are analyzed. Particular attention is paid to applicable protocols and gaps in international coverage. The study is based on materials from the IAEA and OECD and is intended for a legal academic audience.
