Abstract
The article analyzes the role of foreign direct investment (FDI) in the economy of Uzbekistan. It examines the impact of FDI on key sectors of the country's economy, including energy, agriculture, industry and infrastructure. It describes the main factors influencing the attractiveness of Uzbekistan for foreign investors, such as economic reforms, liberalization of foreign exchange policy and the creation of free economic zones. The article also highlights the problems the country faces in attracting investment, including legal and bureaucratic obstacles. It emphasizes the importance of further efforts to improve the investment climate for sustainable economic growth and increasing the country's competitiveness in the international arena.
