Socio-Economic Life in the Uzbekistan Ssr in the 1980-1990s

This article provides information on the changes in economic sectors implemented in the Uzbek SSR during the perestroika period and the shortcomings in these areas. The administrative management system, instead of stimulating effective economic activity, caused unevenness and adverse effects in the distribution of resources, which led to the cessation of economic growth and serious difficulties in the effective management of production processes. The political and economic problems that arose during the reforms led to a deepening of the socio-political crisis in the country. In particular, the additions to the cotton policy, the attitude of society to the perestroika reform, the issue of national relations during this period, the shortcomings of the socialist economy and efforts to reform it, and the shortcomings in the fields of agriculture and animal husbandry are described in detail.
