Abstract
This paper discussed the imperative of implementation capacity building for teachers of Post-Basic Education and Career Development (PBECD) in Nigeria. The paper is a review paper that depend secondary data. The secondary data were collected from print and online publications. The paper concluded that capacity building programme for teachers of Post-Basic Education and Career Development (PBECD) in Nigeria can lead to professional growth, improvement in job performance, better student management, equips them with modern pedagogy strategies, build better relationships with parents, impacts thousands of students indirectly and improvement in teachers job performance. Based on this, the paper recommends that the government should increase the budgetary allocation to capacity building programme in Post-Basic Education and Career Development (PBECD) schools. The private institutions and international organizations should also support the Post-Basic Education and Career Development (PBECD) schools by providing capacity building programme on some special subject such as mathematics and STEM education.
