Analysis of Historical Titles Given to Positions and Ranks in the Kokand Khanate

This study examines the anthroponymic units—names, patronyms, titles, pseudonyms, and attributions—characteristic of the Kokand Khanate era, as reflected in historical and historiographical sources. Despite their significance, the lexical-semantic and structural aspects of titles, particularly those denoting positions and ranks, remain underexplored. Addressing this gap, the research aims to classify and analyze these historical titles, highlighting their sociolinguistic and linguocultural features. Using a qualitative analysis of historical texts, the study identifies key patterns in the use and structure of these titles. The findings reveal the sociocultural importance of titles in the Kokand Khanate's anthroponymy, offering insights into their historical and cultural contexts. These results contribute to understanding historical anthroponymy and its role in preserving cultural identity.
