Abstract
Environmental sustainability has become a central concern in modern architecture and construction. This review paper explores the design of environmentally sustainable buildings, emphasizing the use of eco-friendly materials. The paper examines the properties, benefits, and challenges associated with various sustainable materials, as well as their contribution to energy efficiency, reduced carbon footprint, and overall environmental impact. Additionally, the paper discusses current trends, innovations, and future directions in sustainable building design. This review focuses on the design of environmentally sustainable buildings using eco-friendly materials, aiming to address the growing global need for reducing the environmental impact of construction. Sustainable architecture plays a critical role in mitigating climate change, minimizing waste, and conserving natural resources. The paper examines key concepts in sustainable building design, including energy efficiency, resource conservation, and waste reduction. Various eco-friendly materials, such as recycled steel, bamboo, reclaimed wood, and natural insulation materials, are evaluated for their environmental benefits, performance, and suitability for different climatic conditions. By providing a comprehensive overview of current strategies and materials used in eco-friendly building design, this review seeks to inform architects, engineers, and policymakers on how to incorporate sustainable practices into the built environment. The findings underscore the importance of adopting holistic, long-term approaches to construction that align with global sustainability goals
