Abstract

The features of the layout and design of a water heating system are analyzed. The theoretical foundations of heat and mass transfer processes and methods of their application to solving practical problems with the involvement of the theory of similarity and dimensionality are discussed. Quasi-one-dimensional equations of momentum, mass and heat transfer in pipelines are derived. Hydrodynamic and energy flow regimes in pipelines and features of their use in calculating complex pipeline networks are discussed. It is shown that it is advisable to involve quasi-one-dimensional equations of momentum, heat and mass in calculating water heating systems.
