Abstract
The rapid evolution of information technologies and the increasing complexity of IT infrastructures have significantly expanded the attack surface for modern organizations. Hybrid environments, which combine on-premises systems with cloud services and integrate various digital platforms, present unique security challenges. This article examines the management of vulnerabilities and the systematic analysis of threats in hybrid IT environments, emphasizing the role of cloud services and social media as critical sources of risk.
By integrating Open-Source Intelligence (OSINT) methodologies, organizations can proactively identify potential vulnerabilities and emerging threats from publicly accessible information. The study explores how OSINT tools can be applied to monitor social media channels, cloud configurations, and network exposures, providing actionable intelligence to mitigate security risks. Moreover, the article discusses strategies for prioritizing vulnerabilities based on their potential impact, developing threat models, and implementing continuous monitoring processes to ensure the resilience of hybrid environments.
The findings underscore the necessity of adopting a comprehensive and adaptive approach to cybersecurity that addresses both technological and human factors. This includes regular vulnerability assessments, penetration testing, incident response planning, and continuous education for personnel to recognize and respond to emerging threats effectively. Additionally, leveraging OSINT sources enhances situational awareness and allows organizations to anticipate attacks, reduce the likelihood of data breaches, and strengthen overall security posture.
In conclusion, effective vulnerability management and threat analysis in hybrid environments require a holistic strategy that combines technical tools, intelligence-gathering techniques, and organizational best practices. Organizations that embrace these approaches are better equipped to mitigate risks, protect sensitive data, and maintain operational continuity in increasingly complex IT landscapes.
