Abstract

Research objectives: This study aims to explore the impact of Artificial Intelligence (AI) on eco-friendly tourism management, focusing on sustainable resource allocation, waste reduction, and enhanced operational efficiency in tourism destinations. The research seeks to identify how AI technologies can facilitate environmentally responsible practices while maintaining economic viability. The study employs a mixed-method approach, integrating secondary data analysis from global tourism statistics, AI implementation case studies, and sustainability reports. Quantitative methods include predictive modeling and correlation analysis to measure the relationship between AI adoption and resource efficiency. Qualitative analysis involves reviewing literature on AI applications in eco-tourism management. Results indicate that AI implementation significantly improves energy and water efficiency, reduces operational costs, and enhances visitor satisfaction. Predictive analytics enable optimized scheduling and crowd management, minimizing environmental impacts. The adoption of AI also contributes to economic benefits for local communities. This research extends existing literature by providing empirical evidence of AI’s role in promoting sustainable tourism. It bridges the gap between technology-driven innovation and ecological conservation in tourism management, offering a novel framework for integrating AI in sustainability practices.Tourism operators and policymakers can leverage AI technologies to design eco-friendly tourism programs, enhance operational efficiency, and implement data-driven decision-making for environmental management.
The study relies on secondary data and case studies, limiting generalizability. Future research should explore longitudinal data and multi-country comparisons to validate AI’s impact across different tourism contexts.
