Abstract
This study examines the economic efficiency of museums within the tourism sector and their macroeconomic significance. Museums play a crucial role in cultural tourism by attracting visitors, generating tourism revenues, and contributing to regional economic development. The research analyzes the relationship between museum tourism and key macroeconomic indicators such as tourism income, employment, and economic growth. Statistical and comparative analysis methods were applied using data from international tourism organizations and cultural economy reports. The findings indicate that museum tourism significantly increases tourist spending, length of stay, and local economic activity. Moreover, museums create multiplier effects across related sectors including hospitality, transportation, and cultural industries. The study concludes that museum tourism should be considered a strategic component of tourism development policies aimed at strengthening sustainable economic growth and promoting cultural heritage preservation.
