Abstract
In recent years, there has been a growing recognition of the importance of sustainable practices in the business sector. Manufacturing companies, in particular, have a significant impact on the environment due to their resource consumption, waste generation, and greenhouse gas emissions. As a result, there is a need to explore and implement sustainable strategies to mitigate the environmental impact of manufacturing operations. Human resource management practices play a crucial role in shaping organisational behavior and culture. Green HRM practices, specifically, focus on incorporating sustainable principles and environmental considerations into HR policies, processes, and activities. Despite increasing global awareness of environmental issues and the imperative for sustainable business practices, there remains a gap in knowledge regarding the specific effects of green HRM practices on corporate sustainability within the manufacturing sector in Cameroon. Therefore, this study sought to investigate the effects of green job design and analysis practices on corporate sustainability in Manufacturing Companies in Cameroon. . The study adopted a mixed research design. Data for this study was gotten with the help of a structured questionnaire and which was analyzed using both descriptive and inferential statistics. Results from the partial least square reveals that Job enrichment, job specialisation had positive and statistically significant influence on corporate sustainability. This suggests that providing employees with more meaningful and engaging work can enhance their commitment to sustainability initiatives. The finding can be linked to Herzberg's Two-Factor Theory, which posits that job enrichment can lead to higher job satisfaction and motivation, ultimately driving better organisational performance. Job specialization also demonstrated a positive influence on corporate sustainability. This indicates that when employees focus on specific tasks or areas of expertise, they can perform more efficiently and contribute more effectively to sustainability goals.
