Abstract
The present study investigates the function of professional development strategies authorized by the directorate of electricity in developing the job responsibilities of work leaders especially those in the administrative status as well as technical departments according to administrative and strategic philosophies. A sample of reliable number of employees of the Directorate of Electricity Salah Al-Din was chosen to assess the authenticity of performance and to gather the data needed for the study via the use of questionnaire as a major item for data collection.
A total of (100) questionnaires were disseminated to the employees of the Directorate and the number of confirmed responses for analysis was around (92), which serve as representation 92% of the number of disseminated data collection forms. The findings of the study showed that there is a numerical impact of the professional growth strategy in terms of its sub-dimensions, the intellectual construction of work personnel and technical innovations as performance demands in the expansion of the functional tasks of the employees of the Salahuddin Electricity Directorate. The study endorses the need to offer the neede for professional development of the projected directorate to build a combined knowledge system supplemented by innovations. The study similarly, affirms that the market be analysed and keep itinformed of global development and adopt customer and supplier proposals as a new knowledge input towards the improvement of performance and professional competencies to train workers.
