THE CONCEPT OF ECLECTICS IN ARCHITECTURE

The article reveals the concept of eclecticism, marks the main the origins of eclecticism, the specifics of the influence of this trend on architecture the second half of the 19th century, as well as for subsequent periods. Reflected positive and negative aspects of this stylistic direction, an attempt are made to reveal the nature of eclecticism.  The article is interesting because it is caused by insufficient knowledge features of the era of eclecticism XIX - early. XX centuries, as a holistic phenomenon, representing an integral link in the chain of development of national and European architecture of the nineteenth century.
