Abstract
This article analyzes the demographic and territorial factors influencing the development of the marriage institution. The study examines the population structure, age and gender ratios, as well as territorial differences, specifically the living conditions in urban and rural areas, and their impact on marital processes. The results indicate that these factors have a significant effect on the age at marriage, the number of marriages, and the stability of family relationships.
