Abstract

Companies currently face significant challenges that limit their ability to outperform competitors in providing services and products due to the pressures they experience and the environment in which they operate. Therefore, the present study aimed to measure the impact of entrepreneurial leadership, through its dimensions (vision, initiative, creativity, risk tolerance, and opportunity exploitation), on strategic superiority in small and medium-sized enterprises in Kirkuk Governorate.
The study population consisted of employees in the surveyed companies, where (234) questionnaires were distributed. To achieve the objectives of the study, the descriptive analytical research approach was adopted. A comprehensive survey method was used in selecting the study sample to include all members of the study population, and (203) questionnaires were retrieved.
After analyzing the data and testing the hypotheses using the Statistical Package for Social Sciences (SPSS.22), the results indicated that the overall arithmetic mean of respondents’ answers to the items measuring entrepreneurial leadership and strategic superiority was at a high level of evaluation. The results also showed a statistically significant effect of entrepreneurial leadership, with all its dimensions combined, on strategic superiority in the surveyed companies.
The study recommended continuing the practice of entrepreneurial leadership in companies through the dimensions addressed in the current study and conducting further scientific studies similar to the present topic in other environments.
