Abstract

This paper examines human resource management (HRM) strategies for enhancing performance in construction firms. The study highlights the importance of strategic HR practices, including talent acquisition, training and development, performance appraisal, and employee engagement, in improving productivity, project efficiency, and team collaboration. A systematic review of recent literature and case studies reveals that HRM plays a central role in aligning workforce capabilities with organizational objectives, fostering innovation, and reducing employee turnover. The findings underscore the necessity of context-specific HR strategies, tailored to organizational and regional challenges, to maximize performance outcomes. Overall, strategic HRM emerges as a critical enabler of operational excellence and long-term success in the construction industry.
