Abstract
This study examined the role of immunological factors in the development of enterocolitis following surgical treatment of Hirschsprung’s disease (HD) in children. Forty-eight patients who underwent radical surgery were evaluated, including 20 who developed postoperative enterocolitis. Measurements included secretory IgA, serum IgG, proinflammatory cytokines (IL 6, TNF α), and neutrophil-to-lymphocyte ratio.
