Abstract

In the 21st century, the global ecological crisis has become one of the most urgent challenges facing humanity. Rapid industrialization, urbanization, and technological advancement have led to large-scale environmental degradation, loss of biodiversity, and climate instability. These issues demand not only scientific and technological solutions but also a profound transformation in human values, behavior, and attitudes toward nature. Education, therefore, plays a crucial role in fostering ecological thinking — the ability to understand ecological systems, recognize human impact on the environment, and make responsible decisions for sustainable living. Within this context, the integration of innovative pedagogical methods such as micro-research has become essential in developing students’ ecological consciousness and active participation in environmental protection.
