Comparative Morphological Characteristics of Skeletal Muscle Changes Under Local and General Anesthesia in Mechanical Injury of the Lower Limb

This study compares morphofunctional changes in skeletal muscle of white outbred rats after lower limb mechanical injury under local and general anesthesia. One hundred rats aged 3–12 months were examined using immunohistochemical and histochemical methods. The results demonstrate age-related and anesthesia-dependent morphological alterations in muscle fibers and myocytes. The findings support selection of less traumatic anesthesia techniques in musculoskeletal injury management.
