Abstract

Intelligent and flexible control systems and methods are to be taken into account to manage the threats to border security. In this study, the authors introduce a high-level cyber-physical system (CPS) that involves new technologies of threat detection, machine learning, and real-time data analysis. The CPS system helps to provide real-time and precise threat detection with a low number of false alarms on the Internet of Things (IoT) platform due to the integration of ubiquitous sensors, high-resolution imagery, and safe wireless communication. Such a system provides accurate intelligence to security personnel. The system is also able to perform better with strategic support, leading to improved security policy information. Moreover, the study also points out the trends of future developments in the sphere, which promise the future of technologies and their use.
