Abstract
The development of the tourism sector in the Republic of Uzbekistan is one of the important directions ensuring the sustainable growth of the country's economy. In particular, the improvement of the tourism infrastructure in accordance with modern requirements is of great importance in increasing the flow of tourists, strengthening regional competitiveness and ensuring employment of the local population. Surkhandarya region has natural, historical and cultural wealth, and there are wide opportunities for the development of ecological, ethnographic, religious and extreme types of tourism in this region. This article analyzes the organizational and economic mechanisms of tourism infrastructure development in Surkhandarya region, identifies existing problems and ways to overcome them. Also, scientific and practical proposals have been developed for the development of infrastructure based on modern management approaches, improving the investment climate and attracting the private sector. The results of the study serve as an important scientific basis for developing a strategy for the integrated development of tourism in the southern regions of Uzbekistan.
