FORMATION AND POLITICAL EVOLUTION OF STRATEGIES OF AMERICAN-MEXICAN RELATIONS IN HISTORICAL TERMS (1860s – EARLY 21st CENTURY)

this article attempts to comprehensively and comprehensively analyze the political formation and further political and diplomatic evolution of American-Mexican relations. As certain foreign policy factors contributing to the emergence of the process of relations between the two states, it is worth considering the American-Mexican War of 1846-1848, WWI and WWII, as well as political events associated with the events of the Cold War. The strategic basis for the development of relations between the two neighboring countries was the work of the Monroe Doctrine and the implementation of the "good neighbor" concept by the United States. The article also shows a significant decrease in political and economic interaction between the United States and Mexico in the period after the end of the Cold War and a particularly low level of interaction between the two countries during the Republican administration of D. Trump.
