Abstract
Food waste is a global issue that poses significant environmental, social, and economic challenges. According to the Food and Agriculture Organization (FAO), approximately one-third of all food produced globally is wasted, amounting to around 1.3 billion tons annually. Addressing this issue requires innovative technologies for recycling food waste and understanding their economic benefits.
