Abstract
The article discusses the role of reading in shaping the moral values of adolescent girls. It analyzes the influence of fiction, biographies of outstanding individuals, and other genres on the development of qualities such as empathy, responsibility, kindness, and tolerance. Special attention is given to the importance of consciously selecting books, as well as the role of parents and educators in the process of introducing adolescents to reading. The conclusion is made that reading not only broadens one's horizons but also contributes to the formation of stable moral guidelines that are crucial during the transitional period of adolescence.
