A Sociolinguistic Analysis of the Impact of Gender Roles on Verbal Communication: Cultural and Contextual Dimensions

Language plays a key role in shaping and maintaining social roles, including gender differences. This study investigates the influence of social roles on verbal communication among men and women. The analysis of dialogues revealed that women more frequently use empathetic constructions aimed at support and collaboration, while men prefer directive statements reflecting confidence and leadership. The findings confirm the significance of social expectations in shaping speech behavior and highlight the need for further research into cultural context and evolving gender roles.
