Abstract

This paper investigates the effectiveness of the Communicative Approach in developing the medical speaking competence of vocational college students. The study was conducted among first-year dentistry students at a medical college in Tashkent. Two groups were involved: one instructed through traditional methods and the other through communicative strategies. Results showed that students exposed to the Communicative Approach displayed greater improvement in pronunciation, vocabulary, and dialogue construction, highlighting the method's practical benefits for English for Specific Purposes (ESP).
