Abstract

This article explores the importance of developing students’ cultural skills in English language lessons. It emphasizes that linguistic knowledge alone is not sufficient for effective communication; learners must also understand the social, cultural, and pragmatic norms of English-speaking societies. The paper examines the interrelation between language and culture, the challenges teachers face in promoting cultural competence, and practical methods for integrating cultural learning into the English classroom.
